History

In municipality of Prishtina, in village Keqekollë, there is a one-storey residential house built in the first XVIII century, which belongs to the type of housing with floor having a central enclosed stall. The house is located in steep terrain. The ground floor is a space divided into two alcoves, whose circular entrance is made of stone from the corner on the floor. In compositional view, except corner that rests on two wooden pillars, the house features a porch- balcony that extend along the entire longitudinal facade behind which is the entrance floor. In the floor, one may reach through stone stairs from behind the yard. The house on the back, characterized by simple carved wooden Erker. Construction system is 'Bondruck' ground floor is built of stone, brick and floor full of baked clay linking with mortar clay mixed with chaff and plastered with mud mortar. The roof has double wooden construction, but characteristic of this house is spacious shelter. Perimeter wall shelter is up to 1m, and has curved angles. Stone found in the southern facade here is a moon and six pointed star carved and year of construction in the Ottoman language. Inside the yard, there are also remnants of foundations, so it seems there were accompanying buildings but this should be investigated further.
