History

The mill is located in bank of the Vërbica river, which flows into Sitnica river near Lipjan. Exactly, it is located in the Bislimaj neighbourhood, since the village Vërbica is divided into scattered neighbourhoods away from each other. The mill was built by Zejnullah Deliu, the father of today's owner, Haki Deliu, in 1925. The mill has only one floor. It was built with irregular stones with mortar, wood frame windows and roof with made of wooden structure covered with old roof tiles. The mill has only one alcove and one grinding stone. This mill, apart from Verbica population, it was used also from other inhabitants from other villages. After 1990, the mill had its hipped roof demolished, which was replaced later on by the owner with gable roof. During the war of 1999, the millserved for the needs of residents and the KLA. The Deliu family continues its milling tradition even today, even they preserve a hand mill that had been used since before the construction of the mill. Nowadays, the mill is known as the Mill Haki, the son of Zejnullah Deliu.
