History

The Monument House of Boro Vukmirovic, located in the city of Peja, in “Karagaq” neighbourhood, at “Bukurest” street, no. 17, placed under legal protection since 1949, under decision no. v.E.K.1199/49, is still well preserved. The house is one ground floor only, bearing dimensions: 8.00m X 6.70m, with total 70m2. The entrance of the house communicates directly with the building. It was built of natural stones linked with lime mortar. The width of the wall is d=50cm, whereas the roof is covered by contemporary tiles (not traditional tiles). It belongs to the second quarter of twentieth century, and is made of corridor, three rooms and a sanitary facility installed post construction. Formerly House of Boro Vukmirovic and now social property of Peja Municipality. The house has undergon certain interventions during the course of time.The house is located in cadastral zone of Peja, no. 71611071, Possession List No. 2606 and cadastral plot no. 2990/1, house and the yard and 2990/2 barren land. Total surface area is 4aresand 58 m2. Map number: 38. The house is surrounded by an environment that ensures integrity to the construction line. The building should be preserved further and keep under legal protection.
