History

The one floored stone mansion of Rexhaj family is in the village Jabllanica e vogel in Peja and was built by national Albanian craftsmen from Podgur. The stone mansion was built in the XIX century with the rectangular basis within a residential complex, has access from the entrance near the mansion that contains two wooden doors, one for humans and the doors of the courtyard for the chariots. The mansion is built of hewn stones, it has middle-floored wooden construction. In compositional view, the mansion is characterized with the open gallery “dyshekllëk” with four small curved openings stretched in the arc developed in the level of the facade. The fortifying mansion character is distinguished by the non-presence of openings towards the street on the ground floor, which had the function of storage. Today, from the functional aspect, the mansion contains these functions in the order: the family rooms, hallway and a bathroom on the ground floor, while the men's room “guest-room”, divahanja, the hallway and bathroom are located on the top floor. To date the mansion is preserved in good condition, with minor changes to the roof.
