Terxhyman Iskender Bey Mosque is located in the north-east of Prizren. In the absence of inscription, the exact date of construction of the mosque is not known. Relying on old documents, it is believed to be built before 1795 by Iskender Bey Terxhyman who arrived in Prizren from Khorasan. Iskender Bey was educated a man and had a high military rank (Subashi) and has been in contact with foreign diplomats. He was an interpreter and therefore received a nickname ‘terxhyman”. The mosque has been in function of believers to perform religious rites since it was built until today. The building belongs to the type of neighbourhood mosque having modest dimensions built with the traditional technique. It possesses closed porch, prayer hall and minaret. The mosque has a rectangular base covered from the inside with a dome, and from outside with four guttered roof. The closed porch is located in the northern part, whereby a floor is added. Then there is a prayer hall covered with a dome. The prayer hall in the whole width has the mahvilli which rests on seven pillars of wood who have “Arabic” decoration in the end, plastered with stucco. In south-eastern wall, in the middle, there is a mihrab decorated with geometric shapes, while the frame is decorated with floral motifs. To the right of the mihrab, there is a wrought wooden pulpit carved. The walls are built of different stones. In south-western side of the mosque, there is the minaret, circular based built from sponge stones. Over the years the mosque has undergone numerous unprofessional interventions for renovation and repair purposes, as well as with annexes built in the yard, it lost part of its original value.
