History

The barn of Feriz Llashtica is located in the village Llashticë, municipality of Gjilan This construction was built in the late XVIII century. The arn is typical, primarily for its size and definitely for the work done with wood. The barn is placed in the base made of stone. Its ploughshares are extensive and very powerful, made of oak timber. According to the legendsthere must be another two such barns in the territory Anamorava, which it seems were constructed by the same hand. A characteristic of it is also the cover-roof, which has a niche of the tower type. After the World War II, "the people’s authority" used the house of Feriz Llashtica for its new municipality of the village, whereas the barn had served to that authority as a prison, in whose alcoves the prisoners were placed. In fact, the barn is preceded by an open porch, which has the entry door connected to the stairs, which are linked with five exposed alcoves by two on both side of the stairs and one in front of them. The decorations on the tree make the barn even more special. In fact, the decorations are wood carvings sometimes different carvings and another time for elevated motives in relief. Otherwise, barns as usual serve to keep and protect the grain (wheat, barley, etc.). According to the landlady of the house, the barn has not been used for a long time for what is also intended. The hipped roof is covered with old tiles and a small window on top.
