Dallgën Baba tomb (Prizren)

Tomb of Dallgen Baba tide is located in Ortakoll neighbourhood, with the front oriented towards the east. Within the tomb, there is a small backyard and a building for its supervision. Tomb new Mosque Antalya, in Ortakoll neighbourhood. It is an undated sacred monument. Access to the tomb is from the street through a small metal door. It is built on the ground floor, in the rectangular form. Building materials are of the time: reinforced concrete, concrete blocks, mortar, tiles etc. The floor of the tomb is paved with cement. Doors and windows are made of plastic. At the tomb, except the grave of the Dallgen Baba, there is also another grave. The legends say that Dallgen is martyred in wars, which occurred in these parts of the city. According to a legend, Dallgen Baba worked as a teacher at the Islamic School of Gazi Mehmet Pasha. Before exams, he suddenly gets sick and dies. After several days, he appeared to a student in a dream and asked students to come to his grave to hold an exam. The next day the students went to his grave and through voice of Dallgen Baba from the grave and responses given, the exam was held. The patients believe in supernatural healing power of the Dallgen Baba. They come to the tomb and pray for healing. If they recover, they bring coins, candle or different gifts.
