Sinan Çatip Mosque -Ljevisha is located in the eastern part of the city, in the neighbourhood with the same name, north of Gazi Mehmet Pasha Neighbourhood. It is located on the corner, at the intersection of the main and side road, close to houses and shops. Mosque is known among the people as as Sinan Çatip mosque, Velishah or Levisha. The neighbourhood where the mosque is located is there since 1591 and has been one of the largest neighbourhoods of the city. According to the inscription at the front door of the mosque, it is built by Qatip Sinani / KÂTIP SINAN / in 1577 and according to the inscription / Kitab / located on the inner door of the mosque, the mosque was repaired in 1311 AH / 1893-94/. Reconstruction of the mosque was cmadein 1996 and 2011. In 2011 the mosque's interior walls were decorated with Oriental-style ornaments. The main mosque walls are supposed to be constructed of stone material, linked with lime mortar, with a thickness of 110 cm, and porch walls of 60 cm, built of baked bricks. Dome of the mosque is high close to 11m and is covered with lead. Doors and windows are wooden. Access to the mosque provided from street through to wing metal door. In façade, windows are surrounded by ornamental iron fence. Interior doors are arc shaped. In mosque, immovable devices are: minbar, mihrab, wall closet, and movable devices: big and old watch, rosaries, tapestry for praying etc. Within the mosque, there is a small yard and found four small fountains, decorated with floral ornaments. The mosque has historical and social value because it is a religious monument of the XVI century, in the service of the Islamic community of the city.
